Property progress is a web application aimed at solicitors who carry out conveyancing for private customers. It is a server based application which can be viewed using a standard browser such as Microsoft Explorer or Netscape Navigator.

Conventional conveyancing is the process of buying or selling a property. This process includes many steps- each one relating to the contractual aspects of the transaction. These include getting and checking lease documents and doing land registry searches.

The customer (in this instance the buyer or vendor of the property) will need to phone the solicitor to find out at what stage the process is at. Getting this information can be very frustrating and time consuming.

Property Progress was designed to overcome this problem for the client and reduce inbound calls to the solicitors practice. The application lets clients see the list of steps and what status they are at: not-started, started, or finished. These are colour coded for ease of use. The client can also see memos and look at help notes posted about each step.

For the solicitor there is a full administration area where new clients and passwords can be easily added. The admin area allows for control over most parameters, such as the need to modify a step description.

New solicitors accounts can be set up online and they can start accessing their application within minutes.
