ODR Europe - change management course

Nexus Internet Solutions Ltd. were asked by ODR Europe to provide an on-line version of one of their existing Change Management Courses suitable for use via an Intranet by the Allied Irish Bank. Here are the results:

The Website is designed by ODR Europe Limited specifically for the AIB Group. It is conceived out of a need to share Change Management knowledge and make it accessible and relevant to everyone across AIB. Far from being an intense study of each and every angle of human transition, it is designed to share the practical applications of collective learning from our observations and experiences of people during change.

As such it provides some insights into what works to make people more successful during change, and it isolates those practical hints and tips that are most relevant to people's actual experiences of change in AIB.

The client

ODR was established in 1974. The initial focus of ODR's work focused on what separated successful from unsuccessful organisations during major changes. This early work provided ODR with the foundations of the methodology ODR uses in its world wide client work- the Managing Organisational Change Methodology (MOC®).

The brief

ODR supply a series of surveys to their clients to enable them to better prepare for business change. Nexus Internet Solutions were asked to translate existing packages, both from paper based and spreadsheet based format into an Internet based package.

  • A reduction in the hours required to complete the various questionnaires and surveys.
  • A new e-commerce enabled revenue stream may subsequently be developed.
  • A value added service that ODR can supply to its clients.
  • An improvement in ODR profile with new and existing clients through the adoption of new technology.
  • Maintenance of a central record of "individual", "group" and "company" results adding to the research data collected by ODR. This record can be "data mined" as appropriate at a later date.
  • An improvement in working practices in creation and maintenance of courses through a gradually evolving Administrator module.

Change lite - the application

The process

The Change Lite course consists of 4 booklets designed to help guide the delegates through the change process. They are:

  1. How do I Initiate Change?
  2. Overwhelmed by too much Change?
  3. Change is Announced
  4. Building Commitment for Change

Throughout each booklet useful help and advice is collected into the individual's final Action Planner required for his or her personal change development.

Results

The data can be correlated across departments to allow comparison of individual scores against group scores and to allow data to be compared with results from the body of data ODR holds about many different business sectors.

Back office administration

The application has a comprehensive system of management features designed for the back office personnel to:

  • Search/edit account details
  • Add delegates
  • Issue user licenses
  • Administer usernames and passwords.
