Brook Crompton is part of Invensys and specialises in the build of electric motors.

We were asked to transfer all of their electric motor catalogue information onto a website which would allow engineers to easily choose the correct motor for their needs. The paper based system runs into several complex and cross referenced catalogues.

Originally we produced this application on CD ROM and transferred all of the functionality to the web.

The data is stored in a database allowing the customer to search for an electric motor based on criteria such as:

• Frame size
• Motor Speed (RPM)
• Number of poles
• Output Power
