The client
Changefirst® are a change management consultancy that specialise in managing change in organisations many of which are household names. It was important therefore that Changefirst chose a partner that they could rely upon.
Typically the training and consultancy follows a multi tiered approach one tier of which involves training change leaders and other change trainers. This learning is typically conducted in small groups however large organisations need to get many employees up to speed quickly and efficiently. It was then that Changefirst® contacted Nexus to help develop some online training modules and tools.
The tools
Over a long and successful association since 1998 Nexus has helped develop a variety of tools and training aids to Changefirst®.
Typically an organization will purchase a course for a block of users to attend a series of training events including some online training modules.
It is important for Changefirst that they are able to track the progress of the users and make sure they are completing the modules. They also need to know that they have acquired a minimum standard in order to move forward in the programme.
The users are presented with an easy to use and feature rich environment that either:
- Leads them through a series of questions to discover their readiness for change.
- Helps them to develop a plan of action to take back to their teams.
- Assesses their understanding of the subject.

At the end of the training the users can either adapt their change plans and communication plans to a new challenge or continue their training with further modules.
The data
The database has been designed so that various cuts on the data of individuals and groups can be compared and benchmarked if required for research whitepapers.
Administration
The course admin modules allow Changefirst to add users and modify their permissions to allow access to various modules. Administrators also need to check on the progress of individuals and mentor those that may be having difficulties.
